Day 3 of the SBE27 Delft conference — Thursday 7 October — is dedicated to the next generation of built-environment researchers.
After two days inside the main conference, PhD candidates and early-career researchers take the stage: they present work-in-progress in paper-tandem sessions, each paired with a senior discussant; join a doctoral colloquium on research design and publishing; and meet mentors from academia, policy and industry in an informal mentoring café.
The Student Challenge, co-hosted with Stedin and the Municipality of Delft, invites teams to tackle a real district-transition problem and pitch solutions to a jury.
